Ordyn Technologies, a provider of telecommunications solutions for low-ARPU, high-volume emerging markets, today announced the appointment of Idris Vasi as Senior Vice President for Global Strategic Sales and Alliances to be based in the Singapore regional HQ.
In this role, Vasi will take charge of initiating and managing alliances, partnerships and channels and is also responsible for driving revenue growth via strategic accounts.
Prior to this appointment, Vasi worked at Cisco Systems for 11 years where he held a number of senior management roles in both the US and Singapore. His most recent role was Head of Strategic Alliances for Asia-Pacific where was responsible for driving end-end solutions and incremental revenue via existing alliances and new partnership incubation.
Vasi also led the regional Asia-Pacific teams for Cisco’s Mobile Wireless business and Advanced Technology businesses. This included developing and executing on market entry strategies for Optical Networking and SAN.
Prior to Cisco, Vasi worked at a New Jersey-based start-up, Integrated Network Corp, and also with Siemens in various technical, product management, sales and marketing roles.
Vasi has a MS in Computer Engineering and a BE from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
