Synopsis
The technology of providing internet access over electricity cables is currently receiving increasing interest. Telecom solution companies are starting to take notice of the technology known as broadband over power line (BPL). PT Ordyn Technologies is offering Broadband Over Power line (BPL) to the State-Owned Electricity Company (PLN). Providing internet access via powerlines is an alternative solution that can foster internet penetration in rural areas. PT Ordyn Technologies Indonesia President Director Indrajaya Putra Januar said the high number of rural areas that is not covered by telecom networks has hampered the growth of internet penetration.
